Vets with VA Medical (Age 65 & Older)

Do you obtain your medical and prescription benefits from the Veterans Administration?  The VA does a great job in providing most of the services you need!  But what are the alternatives should you become ill and it’s not possible to get to a VA facility?  Ambulance services and/or emergency care can be brutally expensive. What if you would like a second opinion on a diagnosis? Where could you go?  Are you aware there is a major national healthcare insurer who will provide benefits with no monthly premium that will supplement your VA benefits.  The plan provides full medical benefits, should you choose to use it, but does not replace or interfere with your VA coverage. There are no incurred costs unless you use the plan.  Isn’t that a program you need to know more about?  Dental and vision programs (individual or family) are also available for a modest monthly premium.  Government rules permit enrollment in these plans each year only between Oct. 15TH & Dec. 7TH (special election periods may apply under certain  circumstances).
